Provisioning and Assigning Pager Numbers

These steps can be accomplished by anyone with telephony, and user management permissions.

Provisioning a phone number

  1. In the top menu bar, open the Telephony menu (it may be found under the More drop down)
  2. In the Phone Numbers menu,
    select +Add Number in the top left corner
  3. Enter in the area code for your local area, or to provision a toll free number, enter in 855 and select the Toll Free checkbox

  4. If the search returns no results, Telmediq does not have a number in this area code available. You can try searching for alternate numbers in your area. Often more numbers become available after a day or two if you want to check later
  5. Find a phone number, and under the Actions column select the shopping cart to buy the number

Configuring a phone number

  1. If you have just completed provisioning you will be taken directly to this menu. You can find a provisioned number in the Telephony > Phone Numbers tab using the search
  2. Fill out a description, such as Dr. Doe's pager number
  3. Select the Target type Send a Page
  4. Select the Message Type Telephone Page
  5. Select the Page Target and search for the providers name, such as John Doe
  6. Select Save

Setting a phone number as a user's caller ID

  1. In the top menu bar, open the Users menu
  2. Search for the provider and select their name to open the user details
  3. Select the Telephony tab
  4. Scroll down to the Mobile Settings
  5. In the Caller ID dropdown and select the pager number
  6. Select Save
