Provisioning and Assigning Pager Numbers Follow
These steps can be accomplished by anyone with telephony, and user management permissions.
Provisioning a phone number
- In the top menu bar, open the Telephony menu (it may be found under the More drop down)
- In the Phone Numbers menu, select +Add Number in the top right hand corner
- Enter in the area code for your local area, or to provision a toll free number, enter in 855 and select the Toll Free checkbox
- If the search returns no results, Telmediq does not have a number in this area code available. You can try searching for alternate numbers in your area. Often more numbers become available after a day or two if you want to check later
- Find a phone number, and under the Actions column select the shopping cart to buy the number
Configuring a phone number
- If you have just completed provisioning you will be taken directly to this menu. You can find a provisioned number in the Telephony > Phone Numbers tab using the search
- Fill out a description, such as Dr. Doe's pager number
- Select the Target type Send a Page
- Select the Message Type Telephone Page
- Select the Page Target and search for the providers name, such as John Doe
- Select Save
Setting a phone number as a user's caller ID
- In the top menu bar, open the Users menu
- Search for the provider and select their name to open the user details
- Select the Telephony tab
- Scroll down to the Mobile Settings
- In the Caller ID dropdown and select the pager number
- Select Save
